This was a very insightful interview, the part that caught my attention was the operational efficiency skill which every analyst needs to develop especially when dealing with ad-hoc requests.

It was also nice to hear his perspective on how analysts can grow too, I would love to learn from your experience in the industry on what does the career track for a data analyst look like?

I can understand it would vary based on the size of the company and the team.

You are right, the career track might depend on the company size, structure, or even industry.

Analyst career has the same trajectory as any other role in tech - data engineer, data scientist, or even designer. There are 2 main paths of development: Individual Contributor or People Manager. Both of these have a junior and senior level. It is important to know what domain you feel the most comfortable supporting (marketing, revenue, user experience, content classification) and work on becoming an expert in that specific business role.
